I am no longer selling my collection to fund our wedding!!

WE DID IT ❤️
When I started documenting this journey, I genuinely didn’t know if we’d reach the £12,000 goal.

This weekend’s card show took in £3,019 and pushed us to £13,821 🎉
A huge thank you to everyone who’s followed along, supported the content, bought cards, traded with me, or simply watched the videos.

The wedding fund goal has been smashed… but the conversation at the end might have started the next challenge 👀
Soph wants us to fund the honeymoon.

I think we need to rebuild the collection and give something back to the Pokémon community first 😅

A customer came to my table looking to trade some ACE slabs.

The problem? They’re hard to move at shows and I knew the vendor next to me specialised in ACE and would probably give him a better deal than I could.

So instead of trying to force a trade, I pointed him in their direction.

A little while later, he came back and completely surprised me 👀

Sometimes doing right by people is worth more than making more money 🤝

One of the questions I get asked most at card shows is:

“How do you know what a card is worth?” 👀

This is the tool I use to price every card on my table, help customers check values, and even sort cards from my personal collection.

I even handed some unpriced cards to my wife-to-be, who knows very little about Pokémon cards, and trusted her to value them using the .app 😅

Makes pricing cards a lot easier when you’re preparing for shows.

Just as I was packing up and filing my weekly update video someone stopped to look at one card…

For a few minutes, I genuinely thought it was sold 👀

In the end, he decided not to pull the trigger, but he did take my details.

Some deals happen instantly. Others take a little longer 🤝

As promised…The stag do wasn’t in the wedding budget… but this definitely wasn’t either 😭🎤

Someone handed me the mic and I made the completely sensible decision to sing the Pokémon theme tune in front of my mates and some strangers.

No regrets.

(Okay… maybe a few 😅)

One of the best things about vending at card shows is that you never know what people are going to bring to the table 👀

A young customer wanted to trade for one of my cards he’d had his eye on for the whole show, so he handed me his binder…

Safe to say I wasn’t expecting what was on the first page 😅

We ended up working out a trade, but moments like this are why I love the hobby.

I am selling my Pokémon collection to fund our wedding…Not every update is a step forward 😅

The stag do wasn’t included in the wedding fund budget, which means £420 comes off the total.

That brings the wedding fund to £10,802 and 90% of the way towards the £12,000 goal 🎯

Worth it? Absolutely 👊

(And yes... you’ll see a clip from the karaoke later in the video 😭)

One thing I’ve learned from vending at card shows…

People remember people.

What started with a free mystery pack for a birthday turned into a 20-minute conversation, plenty of banter, and eventually a trade 👊

The longer you spend talking to people, the more likely they are to remember you when they need something in the future.
