We sell tea from carefully selected sources, ranging from black tea, white tea, and Tibetan tea to a small quantity of green tea. Excellence and quality come first for us and for that reason we sell our teas in small quantity. Particularly green tea should only be purchased in a small batch because in order to enjoy it to its full extent it needs to be consumed fresh. Our tea wares

Trade from the East to the West has a long history. In ancient times the Silk Road connected the East Asia with the Mediterranean, enabling people to buy and sell products from distant places. As a Chinese woman, who has found her home right here in the heart of England, I would like to continue that tradition and fulfil my dream in writing another story of a journey from the East to the West.

It is a tease to wait for the tea to age, but also fun. I can't remember how long I haven't had this white peony tea cake. After sorting out some white tea samples for a friend, I wondered if I should open a new cake. Haha, I did. 😉

Tea is always full of fun even though it takes years to age. I would taste it every a few months just to calm down my impatience. When you taste it, each infusion creates so much surprise that could take you to the moon. I thoroughly enjoy this experience. It magnifys the fun and makes other things less important, simpl.

After a hectic week, it is so nice to sit quietly with some delicious Meizhan Black Tea. It fits so well with a lovely sunny day.

I will miss the shop for sure. But in the moment, I am content.

Hope you are well. I know we haven’t been on social media much, but you are always in my mind.

After some careful thinking and due to my current circumstance, we have decided to close the shop in Cheltenham in March. This is a hard decision for August Moon Tea as we have loved so much sharing the best quality tea and the Chinese tea culture with you all.

Our last a few days of opening the shop are (all are Saturdays):

January:
22nd and 29th January
February:
5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th February

I hope to see many of you before we leave. But please remember this is not a forever goodbye. We are always up for a catch-up if you like. Also, we are keeping our online shop so that whenever you need tea or tea wares, we are still around. Here is our contact:

Join us on a Wednesday evening from 6.30 to 8, sit around the ancient tea table, sip tea, and enjoy the peaceful moment in our beautiful shop in Cheltenham town centre, to make friends, learn about the tea culture, and find the tranquillity from your inner world.
We have five spaces for each event at the moment. If you are interested in joining us, please make sure you purchase the tickets in advance. Your spaces might be taken if you only expressing interest on social media without purchasing the tickets as we need to prepare tea, tea wares, and the whole space for the right number of attendees.

In Autumn time, oolong tea helps us to get rid of the extra heat we accumulated throughout the summer time and restore the balance. The aromatic nature of oolong with long with its delicious taste gives us a peaceful and pleasant tea experience.

I always enjoy a Pheonix Dancong Oolong Tea around this time of the year, especially in the evenings. It helps me to find peace inside after a day of hard work. Get in touch if you want to try some ;) 🍵💕

This week is going way too quickly. It's time for some relaxing tea time with us!

Please note that we moved our tea ceremony events from Thursdays to Wednesdays now. If you want join us, please book on our website which you can find in the profile. The events are still at the same time as before between 6.30 and 8 pm.
