The Doctor Didn’t Tell Me My Arteries Were All Furred Up!!
So, the local plumber turns up to fix your dripping tap, does the job satisfactorily, charges a reasonable price and leaves.
He may have done a good job but has he provided a good service?
While fixing your tap, he could have made you aware of products such as Suretop and explained the benefits of such products.
Surestop is a product that enables you to turn off the mains water supply to your house quickly and easily preventing a possible flood.
Whats all this got to do with doctors?? Well, if you went to see your doctor for some minor ailment and in the process he noticed symptoms of some other, perhaps more serious ailment, but didn’t inform you and offer to treat it, would you be impressed? I doubt it.
The same applies to all professionals, they are very experienced in their trade and have a professional care of duty to advise their clients and customers of anything that they notice is wrong together with a proposed solution.
The problem these days is that horror stories you see in the papers of tradesman over charging or unnecessarily pushing customers to buy products and services they don’t really need has made the public suspicious and honest tradesmen nervous.
There is nothing wrong with tradesman giving their customers the benefit of their experience, indeed it should be the norm.
The benefit to the tradesman is increased work and the benefit to the customer is not suffering a plumbing emergency at no doubt the most inconvenient time
