🚨 The UK Government has launched a new fireworks consultation, and some of the proposals being discussed could have significant implications for both consumers and the fireworks industry.
After reviewing the consultation in detail, we’ve identified areas that require further clarification.
One particular question appears badly worded and it could potentially impact a large proportion of the low-noise fireworks currently available in the UK despite the wider objective of encouraging their use.
For that reason, we’re advising people not to rush into completing the consultation just yet. There is plenty of time, with responses open until 7th October, and we’re currently seeking clarification on some of the more ambiguous sections before providing further guidance.
As more information becomes available, we’ll be sharing updates and explaining what the consultation could mean for firework enthusiasts, retailers, display companies, and the wider industry.
