Just a quick post to say I'll not be in, and the shop will be closed next Friday 26th June.
I'm off on a jolly to Musgrove to have another PET-CT scan.
I have to go on a special diet beforehand and an 18 hour fast, so I might be grouchy on the Thursday as I like my food!!!
Anyhoooo.....thought I'd let you know, I'll not be about.
Thursday (25th) will be a normal trading day though.
Back on the following Tuesday as normal.

Keep pedalling!

Cheers for being so understanding, Andy

Morning all.
Hope you're all well?
I'm inundated with charity bikes again (thank you) and as repairs have gone mad again too, I'm seriously running out of space.
Every evening the secondhand bikes need to be stacked on one another to be able to close the doors, so to make space, I'll be having a "£10" day on the charity bikes to clear them.
I can't really do a free day, as normal, as I don't like the idea of the Children's Hospice missing out with donations, but I feel a tenner is more than fair??
There's hardtail aluminium MTBs outside, a full suss, some tag-a-longs, 3 speed commuter, ladies MTBs, a BMX, vintage racer...so there's something there for most!
The traditional Raleigh is not for sale (unless you make a good offer!!), it is only there as I've run out of space inside.
I WILL NOT reserve bikes, as quite often they are put back and never collected, so they'll be first come, first served...and they're only a tenner (or less on the little kid's bike)
They will all need some work to a degree, but I can't service them all, on top of my paid repairs and make a suitable profit to donate, so they're sold as seen.
(That's my little disclaimer!!)
I'll probably keep this going until they are gone, but quite often that's the case in a number of hours.

Have a great day.

Cheers, Andy

Good afternoon all.

Just another quick post to say I'm having to leave early on Wednesday afternoon (15th April)
for another hospital appointment.
As is normal, I've arranged it for late afternoon so it doesn't disrupt the working day too much.
I'll need to be gone by 3pm this time.

Cheers, Andy

Thanks for the messages regarding scrap disposal earlier...
All sorted now..and to answer a question posed earlier.. no, I am not retiring, I'm just having a sort out and not keeping those "just in case" parts.
I know I've been useful in the past by having all the rare and unusual bits for your needs, but unfortunately I can't keep it all, and I'm falling over the amount of stock I have. I need to downsize what I have, so I can work a bit more efficiently.
I'll be keeping all the early road equipment and those "retro" 90s MTB stuff, but not the more run of the mill stuff...
How many usable 26" front wheels etc can one possibly need???
Will also have a clear out of secondhand road frames for anyone wanting to build up something, as a "bitza"

Morning all.
I'm having a sort out in the shop and I'm after a favour, if you don't mind me asking?
I've an increasingly large pile of scrap tyres and tubes which need disposing of (I think I have a volunteer for this)
A charity based bike shop in Exeter is having anything that is usable and should be collecting soon....but I've also got scrap metal (mixed alloy/ steel, brass etc)
I'm looking for someone who could help with that. I'm not looking at hiring a scrap man, as I don't want to pay someone, but if anyone can help, then you keep whatever you get from weighing it in!
There will be multiple drops as I'm having to sort out between jobs.
