We work to make the town a better place to shop, work and visit through events, marketing, promotions, business support and town centre improvements. We are all about making Caterham a great place to be for customers, visitors, businesses and staff.

We deliver free community events throughout the year, including our popular Easter, Halloween and Christmas trails, helping to bring people into town and support local businesses.

In celebration of National Walking Month, we’ve spotlighted 4 of our favourite local walks! 🌼

Here in Caterham Valley, we’re lucky to be surrounded by the beautiful Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and North Downs countryside. Both offer plenty of spectacular views, as well as long and short walks in the Surrey countryside

Start your day with a breakfast bite or a coffee at one of Caterham Valley’s friendly cafes, such as Caterham Cafe, Brick Stop, Caffe Bambino, Broo, Pop Inn Cafe, or the newly opened Donovan’s Coffeehouse, before setting out on one of these excellent local walks:

1️⃣ Timber Hill Recreation Area - a short Caterham Valley stroll, minutes from the centre, with a children’s playpark and seasonal flower displays

2️⃣ Caterham Valley Station Circular - starting and ending in town, this six-mile stroll takes you up onto a stretch of the North Downs for some fresh country air

3️⃣ Caterham Valley to Godstone - enjoy diverse landscapes, farmland, a nature reserve, and a wild swim at Divers Cove

4️⃣ North Downs Way National Trail - Caterham Valley is a gateway to this famous UK trail along the ancient Pilgrim’s Way, stretching from Farnham to Canterbury
