About Recovering Kindred Spirits
Paul’s journey of recovery is a testament to the transformative power of sobriety and the importance of giving back to the community. After achieving sobriety in 2003 following a 20-year battle with alcohol addiction, Paul and his wife Heather dedicated their lives to helping others struggling with addiction. Their work began in 2006 at a night shelter, which later

evolved into a residential centre for vulnerable adults with addiction issues. In 2014, they co-founded their own residential centre, implementing the 12-step program to guide others towards recovery. Paul’s experience with sobriety tokens early in his recovery journey highlights the significance of tangible milestones in maintaining motivation and progress. In 2021, Paul and Heather transitioned to running Recovering Kindred Spirits, continuing their commitment to supporting those in recovery. Their story exemplifies the principle of helping others as a crucial component of long-term sobriety and personal growth
