I'm still here, haven't done a runner 🤣 Been busy working away behind the scenes and rarely get a minute to post on socials these days!

I N H A L E • E X H A L E

I've been making a lot of our inhale exhale jumpers recently and it got me thinking...these are still one of our most popular designs, even 3.5 years later!
•
This was the very first design I ever did - Tiny Tortle was still a craft business, making nursery decor and painting story stones 🎨 I wanted a new yoga jumper but couldn't see anything I fancied, so (as I tend to do), I just decided to make my own!
•
I drew the design by hand, sent it to the computer to cut out the vinyl and pressed it onto a plain jumper and voilà! 🧘‍♀️

The design was so popular that I decided to start selling them and as they say... the rest is history 🤗

I've been a bit AWOL on here over the past week while the kids were off on half term. I made the decision to take a break from posting on here and just enjoy the time with them, and we certainly crammed in a lot of fun trips!

But quite honestly, I feel like I've lost my mojo on here a bit. Life with 4 kids is pretty full on and trying to get all my orders made in and around them is tricky enough, never mind trying to take photos and videos of it all for the socials! 🤯

I was also thinking about the last few years, whilst going through COVID and having to stay at home etc...coming on here was actually cathartic for me. I was able to spend the time taking beautiful pictures of my hand dyed clothing and then writing a lovely long & meaningful blurb to go with it, and it definitely helped me feel a bit more connected to the outside world

But now, life is back to normal and I'm meeting up with great friends, having lovely long chats over brunch and somehow, it makes this all seem a bit pointless 🤔 Of course, these days it's become NECESSARY for a business to promote themselves on social media, but for me, that's not going to be at the expense of enjoying life itself

There's just not enough hours in the day to do it all. I'm finally holding my hands up 🏳️ The website is still very much open and orders are still coming in. I'm just making the decision to prioritise the real life stuff for a bit

I'm not saying goodbye, I'm not even saying 'see you soon'. Let's just say 'see you when I see you' 😘

There's no better feeling than posting your final parcel before Christmas ❤️

Honestly, I can't thank you all enough for your support this year. When I say it means the world to me, I really, truly mean it...This year has been unprecedented for small businesses, with the cost of living crisis affecting the way people have been spending their money, along with the cost of our materials rising dramatically
•
Couple that all with the Royal Mail strikes that have been ongoing for the past few weeks now and it's enough to put any small business over the edge 🤪
•
Thankfully I have pretty wonderful customers that have kept me plenty busy. I love what I do and it never feels like work but this is why I needed to close up and get a proper break this Christmas to spend some much needed time with family and try and slow down a little (ha...who am I kidding?!)
•
So I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and I'll be back up and running in the New Year. I've got big things coming for Tiny Tortle in 2023 and I'm excited to share them with you ❤️

Hi guys. I've finally (somewhat) surfaced from the most rotten flu / chest infection / sinusitis
•
The past 6 weeks has been a constant stream of sickness in our house and I feel like I've been chasing my tail trying to keep on top of orders, the house and 4 little people. Add that to the stress all the Royal Mail strikes have brought and I've made a decision to do something I never do...
•
I've completely shut the website down for Christmas, along with my Etsy and Not on the High Street shops, and I'll reopen in the New Year
•
Thank you to everyone who has chosen to buy something from me this year, it really does mean the world to me and I hope you all love your purchases as much as I love making them!
•
