Just a quick heads up that we'll be closed on Thursday morning this week due to a child dental appointment.

CONNECTING THE DOTS 🎶😄

Just a little heads up that we'll be closing a bit earlier than usual today at 3:30pm.

Friends of ours are DJing at CONNECT at Canvas in Dundee tonight and we're heading through for what promises to be a brilliant night.

Sorry for any inconvenience if you were planning to pop in later today.

We'll be back open tomorrow from 10am - 4pm, although potentially a little more fragile than usual 😅

1000 POSTS LATER... 🎉😄

Apparently this is our 1000th Instagram post, which feels quite a significant milestone for a little independent shop in Carnoustie.

That's 1000 posts of new arrivals, makers, windows, blackboard jokes, behind-the-scenes moments, family updates, celebrations, the occasional disaster, and more time spent choosing songs to match my content than I'd care to admit 😄

The latest collection from Sefara Jewellery has arrived and it feels right at home here by the sea.

Inspired by the coast, the collection features beautiful blues, turquoise and sandy tones, finished with gold leaf details that shimmer like sunlight dancing on the water.

The price of cocoa has risen dramatically over the last couple of years due to poor harvests, extreme weather and crop disease affecting cocoa farms across West Africa, where most of the world’s cocoa is grown.

As costs rise, some large chocolate manufacturers are reducing cocoa content or using cheaper fillers and oils in recipes to help keep prices down.

That’s one of the reasons we love brands like GNAW and Quirky Chocolate, both of which are proudly palm oil free and made with quality ingredients.

Palm oil free chocolate isn’t just a choice many people make for food reasons, it can also help reduce the demand linked to deforestation and habitat loss.

SEW MANY LOVELY THINGS 🧵✨

A colourful new delivery has arrived from Sew Braw and it’s full of bright, beautiful fabrics guaranteed to cheer things up a bit.

We’ve restocked eye pillows, reusable face wipes, reusable make up pads, glasses and sunglasses cases, plus lots of lovely scrunchies too.

Everything is handmade just north of Glasgow by Jenny Barrand, using 100% cotton with organic cotton used wherever possible. Jenny is also working hard to keep Sew Braw as plastic free and sustainable as possible - something we love to support.

Pop in and have a browse… there are so many gorgeous patterns to choose from.
