🧶 Going on and on and on…

I want to take the depth and richness of my painting and translate it into tapestry.

I’m experimenting with bundling as part of that process, but I’ll tell you more about that another time!

For now, I’m exploring how to build colour through layers of dye, allowing each layer to add something new to the one before.

It’s all about creating depth, richness and those colours that keep revealing something new the longer you look at them.

And this experimentation is inspiring something rather special for our 12 Days of Christmas sets… 🎄✨

✨ Sometimes, inspiration comes from your own work…

This year, I’ve found myself inspired by a painting of my own.

When people see it in person, they often comment on the colour and the incredible depth. There’s something about it that seems to go on and on and on…

And the secret? Layers of washes, gradually building up colour and creating that wonderful sense of depth.

It got me thinking… what if I could recreate that feeling in yarn?

Well, I’m about to find out! 👀🧶

Due to new rules coming into force within the EU, it is with heavy hearts that we are going to have to suspend ALL orders to the EU with immediate effect until further notice.

We will be working to see if we can find a solution to the new rules, which require that we have agents in each EU country that we might want to post to. We will update you as soon as we can.

To all of our EU customers, thank you for all of your support in the past, we hope to be with you again soon 💔

At the moment - this doesn't affect Switzerland, but there are new rules coming into force in January.

We'll have these gorgeous handcrafted bobbins with us at this weekend!

Lovingly made by the talented Michael Williams, each bobbin is beautifully turned from close grained hardwood and finished to a wonderfully smooth touch – a real delight to use and a lovely addition to any weaving toolkit.
