Check out this Ludwig 3 Piece Classic Maple finished in Full Face Birdseye Maple Veneer! Completely custom ordered by Drumazon this kit combines Ludwig Modern Shell Technology and Build quality with yesteryear fan favourite specifications. This kit has the veneer on both the interior and exterior of the shells, we went for Mach hi-tension lugs throughout, the bass drum is drilled for the tom holder and has curved bass drum spurs. We went for a stunning black script over clear display head to show off the internal veneering. The kit has throwback 1990’s style Monroe Keystone badges and we went for heavy duty triad brackets on for the tom and floor tom brackets for maximum support.

The sizes are 12x8 Tom | 16x16 Floor Tom | 22x16 Bass Drum. Shown with Ludwig Striped Bronze Snare Drum, Ludwig Atlas Hardware & Paiste Cymbals.

Another stunner from our recent Ludwig delivery. This is a Legacy Mahogany finished in Vintage Blue Oyster. These are the 3 ply Mahogany / Poplar / Mahogany shells with solid Maple re-rings. We took inspiration from the Jazz festival snare for this kit and spec’d Reso Cote interiors and Baseball Bat internal dampeners. Other specs include the cast keystone badges, large classic lugs, elite spurs and triad brackets.

We’ve had a beautiful shipment of Ludwig kits arrive and we had to show this one to you first. This is a Classic Maple in full face Birdseye Maple, we have spec’d this kit to replicate the sizes and many 1990’s features of the kit played by Roger Taylor. This kit comes in his sizes of the time and has Mach lugs, 90’s keystone badges and curved spurs. The kit has a few modern adjustments such as the triad brackets.

Toms 12x11, 13x12, 14x13 | Floor Toms 16x16 & 18x16 | Bass Drum 24x16 | Snare Drum 14x6.5 with Twin Lugs.

Next week we have our first shipment of the new Mapex Black Panther Design Lab drum sets arriving so we thought it would be a good time to start showing you what’s coming!

First up we have the all new Equinox kit. This is a Maple / Padauk hybrid shell drum set. The flat black maple finish, new BPDL gold badges and Chrome finishing on the tube lugs and single fl**ge hoops is just next level! The sound produced from the Equinox is incredible too, bags of punch, lots of low end warmth and an extremely versatile tuning range! The standard kit comes as 10x7 & 12x7.5 toms with 14x13 & 16x15 floor toms and a 22x16 bass drum. Extra sizes to add around the kit will be available to special order.

This is Mapex’s top of the line series, there are tonnes of sound enhancing features such as the Halo Mounts, Size Specific Chambers, the SAS attenuating floor tom leg, Master Tune Lugs and SAS ring system. The UK Drum Show 2024: A Note from Dan

It’s hard to believe it’s been a week since we headed to Liverpool to set up for the UK Drum Show 2024. We want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who visited our stand, and to all those who took part in Drumaoke. Witnessing such incredible young talent and seeing the Drumaoke band ignite the crowd’s energy was truly unforgettable.

This year marked our third collaboration with Korg UK, representing Mapex UK, Paiste Cymbals, Vater Drumsticks, Sakae, and, for the first time, Korg Electronics.

We had exciting showcases across the board. Mapex unveiled the new Black Panther Design Lab drum kits, while at Paiste, visitors got up close with some jaw-dropping artist setups and had the chance to test over 450 cymbals in our exclusive cymbal testing room. Sakae unveiled an entirely new range of Made in Japan kits and snare drums, while Vater made its biggest appearance yet, captivating new fans. Korg made a strong UKDS debut with the new MPS-10 Percussion & Sampler Pad.

We were also thrilled to custom-order a Mapex kit and Paiste cymbals for Aquiles Priester’s main stage performance, which we sold during the show to an ecstatic customer. The brands were exceptionally well-received throughout the weekend. Korg even gave away two MPS-10 pads, expertly demonstrated by Ben Stone, with one lucky winner each day! Everyone who joined Drumaoke walked away with some fantastic Mapex swag.

Events like this demand a tremendous effort, and we’re grateful to have an exceptional team who turn this in to reality year after year. From the travel to setup, to manning the stand and breaking down after long journeys — this show is no small feat. We are incredibly fortunate to have the best of the best who work above and beyond to make this happen.
