We currently have 2 job vacancies at Hamwoods.

Position 1: We are searching for an enthusiast Multi-skilled Carpenter to work alongside the team in our well established floor sanding and restoration company based in Cardiff. Your own van is essential.

Position 2: We are searching for an enthusiast trainee to work alongside the team. Full training will be provided with potential of an apprenticeship. Own transport preferred but not essential.

Both roles will largely involve repairing, restoring and finishing wood flooring to the highest of standards. Wage to be negotiated depending on experience.

Duties will include

Using a range of sanding machines and powertools
Repairing & Restoring parquet floors and floorboards
Friendly communication with customers
Unloading and loading of tools
The basic hours of work are 40 hours per week. Start times can be 8am or 9am. This can vary day to day depending on business needs. You must be prepared to work hard and sometimes work longer to get jobs completed on time.

For the successful applicants there will be a trial period and full training will be provided.

Requirements:

Must have a positive attitude
Be able to work on own initiative
Carpentry / Joinery skills
Full clean current driving licence
Flexibility with regards to hours
Very reliable, good time keeper
Work in a team
Ability to communicate with all Customers
