Are Geminis more likely to have ADHD? Channel 4’s documentary questioned whether ADHD is always best understood as a biological neurodevelopmental disorder. It suggested that some behaviours labelled as ADHD may instead reflect normal personality differences struggling against rigid schools and modern lifestyles involving screens, processed food and reduced outdoor activity.
It also argued that rising diagnosis rates, inconsistent private assessments and commercial incentives could be encouraging overdiagnosis. The programme raised particular concerns about prescribing stimulant medication to children and featured a boy temporarily replacing medication with lifestyle changes. What do you think?
