Item 2-grey cardigan from Monki, so i am getting really sick of wearing this already!!!! It's so old and worn that it is completely stretched out of shape, the arms are so long the sleeves get in the way of doing anything and it's a pain in the arse to wash. So I think this will be looking to start a new life after the - I've got some ideas already....

So this is me talking a little bit about the items I've chosen, number one! Linen dress from Not Perfect Linen. You can find them on Etsy. This item was one of the no brainers for this, it is extremely comfortable and easy to wear. This brand epitomises the concept of slow fashion. I paid a bit more than I'm used to here, but the quality of the fabric and stitching is incredible, their clothes will last years. As everything is made to order you can select the cut and colour and then you WAIT. So no impulse buys, you have to really think about what you want.

In a moment of lapsed concentration (or sanity?)I found myself signing up for the 6 items challenge, wear only 6 items for 6 weeks. I've never taken part in a fundraiser before but I do care passionately about dismantling the fast fashion industry, (or at the very least, slowing it the f%ck down) so I'm very happy to be raising money and awareness for labour behind the label, who do fantastic work pressuring these exploitative companies to pay their workers fairly and operate in more sustainable ways.

I finally made my choices, and tbh, they are not the items I thought I would settle on at all 😅 (ps, the 6 items has some caveats, it excludes things like gym wear, pjs and pants, because that would be madness!)

The fundraiser starts on Feb 17th and I'll post more details then 😊
