The fridge is off, but we’ve still got you covered 🍫

As you all know, it’s been a very hot summer, and I haven’t stopped banging on about the chocolates, the fridge, temperatures and humidity.

It breaks my heart to say it, but I’ve decided to switch the chocolate fridge off for the two weeks I’m away. I don’t feel it would be fair to leave Nyree with such a huge responsibility, mainly because I am completely obsessed with checking the temperature and humidity. I even check the cameras in the evening to make sure everything is okay, so I can act quickly if it isn’t.

The shop is being left in very good hands, but I can’t expect Nyree to obsess over the chocolates quite as much as I do!

The good news is, we’ve got a plan. The chocolates will be kept safe and cool out the back, and you can still get your fix. It’ll just be a case of us disappearing out the back to grab them for you, like we’ve got a slightly dodgy chocolate operation going on.

The only downside is that you won’t be able to choose exactly what goes into your little gold boxes. We’ve picked a selection of our top sellers though, and we’re confident you’ll be very happy with what you get.

So, the fridge may be off, but the chocolates are most definitely still on. 🍫

The chocolates are back in the fridge! But for how long, we don’t know! 😅

This hot weather is playing havoc with our fridge, and there have been several chocolate meltdowns (mainly from me).

So, if you’re thinking chocolate, I’d act quickly and come and get yours over the next few days. We’ll keep you updated if anything changes. 🍫☀️

I’ve just run 5K for Velindre Cancer Centre, and honestly, I can’t quite believe I’m saying that. 💚

About 10 weeks ago, I was asked if I would take part. I was in terrible shape, knew I couldn’t run 5K and, in a bit of a panic, said no. But then I thought about the cause and how many people know someone who has been affected by cancer, and I felt like I had to try.

Nine weeks ago, I started the Couch to 5K app with my sister-in-law and my friend. I struggled to run for just 60 seconds and felt completely defeated, but I also knew I had to keep going.

With the support of my family and friends, I carried on. The support in work has been incredible too. As soon as I started telling my customers what I was doing, the encouragement, positivity and stories they shared gave me even more reason to keep going.

Long story short, today I ran the whole 5K. Every single step of it. What an emotional and inspiring day.

Today, I ran for every family and every person affected by such a cruel illness.

And together, we showed cancer the V. 💚
