Sadly, two of our posties are moving on to pastures new and today is their last day.
We wish Terry and Martin all the best in their new jobs. It's been a pleasure working with them.
We hope their replacements are just as good.

That was quick!

A man has been charged in connection with burglaries at Chloe’s Jewellers in St Ives on 30 April and Burwell Post Office on 3 May. He has also been charged with the attempted burglary of StowcumQuy Post Office on 1 May.

He will appear in court tomorrow.

We're getting there but it's been slower going than we thought.

Hopefully we should be opening at 1pm.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience but we have to be very careful that there are no pieces of glass anywhere as it is extremely sharp.

Post office update.

Having spent most of the weekend tidying up and repairing as much as possible, the post office is nearly ready to open.

We will have a final blitz tomorrow to make sure that it's safe to open.

We're aiming for an opening time of midday.

I'll post an update if that time changes.

I would also like to say a huge thank you for all of the messages of support that everyone has posted. There have been too many for me to reply individually to them. If any good has come out of this, I've been overwhelmed by all of your support, it's made me feel a valued member of our community.

Please continue to use all of our fantastic local businesses as your support is vital to keep us in the jobs we love.

The post office was broken into this morning at about 3.20 am.

Not much was taken but the counter has been severely damaged and we may not be able to reopen until it is fixed.

I will post any updates regarding opening as and when I can.

If anyone has any information regarding this break in, please pass it on.
