I broke with the habit of buying old British planes and fettling them, got a large Veritas low angle jointer. Lovely thing it is

A work in progress. A custom made (not by me) light ash body getting a thin natural finish. We're using super blonde shellac to give almost no brown/yellow tinting, it just brings out the contrast & detail and leaves some texture. Feels good too!

Sadly someone's heavily araldited in the dummy coil (middle pickup) and that's not coming out without being destroyed. At ~1500 a set of pickups its not happening.. only sets are available.

So it won't be stripped now, just minor odds & ends will be done instead.

The Les Paul all wrapped up and safely landed with it's new owner. Honduran mahogany body & neck, light ageing, custom wound Catswhisker pickups. Weighs in at a nice 7.5 lbs. 🔥
