Owned and operated by Sue and her daughter Jasmine, with the support of Tiago and the rest of the hard working boys and girls that make up , The Fish Shop opened its doors in December 2014. With the ambition of bringing the freshest fish from around the UK to our friends and neighbours in Camberley, Surrey the business has gone from strength to strength and we now see visitors from far an

d wide. It has been truly humbling to welcome so many visitors to our shop and we are so very lucky to have so many fabulous, supportive customers

We have stayed true to our core values, ensuring that every single product we sell is the freshest, best quality available and we are really proud to be able to showcase some of the finest fish in the world, caught right here in the UK. We were thrilled to be awarded Independent Fish Retailer of the Year in 2020 and also to have been invited to take part in the BBC2 series Cornwall: This Fishing Life

We work closely with a few very select suppliers who share our values, and we have close friendships with many of the fishermen who catch the fish you will find on our counter. We also actively support The Fishermen’s Mission which is the only fishermen’s charity that provides emergency support alongside practical, financial, spiritual and emotional care, helping all fishermen, active or retired and their families. We have helped to raise funds and awareness for this very worthwhile charity for many years and were very proud to be presented with their Outstanding Achievement Award

Morning!!

madness resumes and I must have done 10000 steps already this morning! The entire team arrived in darkness to get all the orders prepared and the shop set up before opening. And we literally just managed it 🙌

Ok for today… top picks are tough because everything is magnificent but here we go

The last in July and we’re celebrating with a counter full of fabulousness 🙌

It’s so hard to pick out the top picks, but maybe a few highlights to tickle your tastebuds

🔥 Superb Scottish line caught mackerel and utterly delicious Cornish sardines are always top of the bill for BBQs 🩵

🔥 Lobsters galore! We’re seeing good numbers and have our super-garlicky or Thermidor half lobsters back at £10 each 🦞

🔥 some whole fish for the wow factor - XL plaice, superb turbot, outstanding brill and rod and line caught wild bass 🎣

🔥 our first of the season Cornish Bluefin Tuna - it’s back 🥰 this really is a special fish and we hope to see another good season for the Cornish fishermen involved in this superb initiative 🎣🎣🎣

You’ve certainly made this month one to remember and are heading into August on a real high 🙏

How on earth is it almost August already?! ☀️

What an amazing summer it’s been. Not just for us, but for so many brilliant independent food shops. Our butchers, greengrocers and so many fishmongers up and down the country are enjoying the wonderful madness that summer brings, and it’s lovely to see 🩵

A huge thank you to every one of you for visiting, for queuing so patiently (even on a Tuesday! 🤣) and for your all round fabulousness 🥰

The fishing has been exceptional too. Cornish sardines are back, Scottish line-caught mackerel are beautifully fat, lobster fishing is at its peak (despite the pesky octopus) and the quality and variety coming up the A303 every night has been amazing 🎣

❤️ Huge congratulations to Lottie ❤️

In a couple of weeks we’ll be celebrating five years since Lottie first joined us as a Saturday girl ❤️

She disappeared off to college, came back every Christmas and through the summers to help us through our busiest weeks, and has become such a valued part of the team ❤️

But alongside working with us, she’s quietly been working towards something she’s dreamed about for years - a First Class Honours degree in Fashion Communication & Promotion from Nottingham Trent University 🎓✨

We’re all incredibly proud of everything she’s achieved and the next chapter is about to begin as she heads off to pursue her dream career ❤️

Thankfully, we’ve got her for a little while longer before she flies the nest 🙌

Congratulations, Lottie!! Whatever comes next, you’re going to be brilliant. ❤️

What a fantastic day in Weymouth. It’s been too long since our last Sunday Funday and this one was a belter. Beautiful weather, the perfect venue, great food, great friends and a brilliant vibe. So good to see old faces and catch up with Fishermen's Mission at the same time 🩵

Days like this remind us what a wonderful industry we’re in 🦞🎣

Safe to say, they all behaved themselves so we’re already planning the next one 🩵

🩵 HAPPY FATHER’S DAY 🩵

Today we’re celebrating the dads, grandads and great-grandads who make up our family 🩵

The Big Daddy behind it all is my own Dad, Rob. Dad, Grandad and now Great-Grandad to Baby G. A decision made back in the 1970s to become a fishmonger changed the course of our family’s lives forever. Without him, there would be no 🩵

We’re also celebrating the dads… Tiago, dad to Leo, and Terry, proud dad and grandad to a wonderful family of 6 children and 8 grandchildren 🩵

Today is a happy day for many, but we also know it can be a difficult one. This week Terry and Mandy sadly lost Mandy’s dad, Terry, and we know how hard Father’s Day will be for their family this year. We’re sending our love to them and anyone who’s finding today especially hard 🩵

So today, a huge amount of love to those celebrating, the dads to be, those missing their dads, and those remembering them 🩵
