Today we were invited along to an amazing Block Party for ALN children hosted by The Hold Up at Create Caerphilly Studio, and what a fantastic day it was!
From beatboxing workshops to graffiti art sessions, there was something for everyone. It was incredible to see young people expressing themselves, building confidence, learning new skills and, most importantly, having fun in a safe and supportive environment.
The Hold Up team are working hard to secure funding to bring these Block Party vibes back to Lansbury Park, and we know what a positive impact that could have on local children and families.

Gwent Police is joining services across the country to raise awareness of the dangers and consequences of carrying a knife.

I had the wonderful opportunity to spend this morning with the Caerphilly uniform exchange team. A wonderful group of people supporting the Van and wider Caerphilly community. They work to make sure everyone can get easy access to affordable uniform and clothes of all kind such as summer ware and swimware at the moment.

They also hold informational drop in sessions with Gwent police, councillors, Welsh water and others to help with issues of all kind. And they even host playdays for the local Van community children.

Make sure you go and check them out as they’re true pillars of our community in Van.
