A huge thank you to the amazing team from Admiral who spent the day volunteering with us at the ToyBox Project 💚🧸

The team got stuck straight in testing toys, sorting LEGO, checking puzzles and helping us prepare donations ready for children and families across the community. Their energy, teamwork and willingness to help made such a big difference in just one day.

Every puzzle completed, every toy tested and every bag of LEGO sorted helps us make sure donated toys are safe, complete and ready to bring joy to a new home 🧩🧱🚂

We’re so grateful for your support, laughter and hard work. Thank you for being part of what we do and helping us give toys a second life ♻️💚

This week we were delighted to welcome a volunteer team from the Intellectual Property Office to ToyBox Project — and what a difference they made! 💙 Intellectual Property Office UK

In just one visit, the team helped us make huge progress on some of our biggest backlogs, including sorting batteries, games, and a mountain of Lego ready to be redistributed to local families, schools, and community groups.

The amount they achieved in such a short time was incredible. Our regular Tuesday evening volunteers were amazed at how much was completed! 👏

The Lego sorting alone was a massive help. We had completely run out of sorted Lego to give out because we simply hadn’t had the time to tackle it ourselves. Thanks to their hard work, more children will now receive creative play resources they otherwise may have gone without. 🧱✨

Volunteering days like this make a real impact and help us continue supporting families across the community. Thank you again for your energy, enthusiasm, and teamwork — we are super excited to see that you have already organised to come back two more times in the coming month. Our door is always open to you! 💛

Crazy how quick 5 years can pass us by.

Eternally grateful for the support we received over the years.

They are no longer a drop off point, but when you are in town, pay them a visit. Their hot chocolate is epic!

We’re really proud to share that the ToyBox Project has been nominated for a BBC Cymru Wales Make a Difference Award ❤️

These awards recognise individuals and groups who make life better for people in their communities, so to even be nominated means a huge amount to us.

Out of more than 400 entries, a panel of judges will now shortlist 32 finalists, which will be announced live on BBC Radio Wales and BBC Radio Cymru on Friday 19 June between 11am and 12 noon.

No matter what happens next, we’re so grateful to everyone who has supported the ToyBox Project. Every donation, share, volunteer hour, and kind word helps us continue supporting children and families who need it most.

Thank you for being part of it 💛

A massive thank you to everyone at Lakeside Primary School in Cardiff — the amazing staff, children, and families — for running such an incredible toy drive for The ToyBox Project 💙

In such a short amount of time, an entire van load of toys was collected! The generosity and support shown by the school community has been absolutely overwhelming.

A very special thank you also goes to our wonderful Linda, who worked closely with the school to make this such a huge success. Thanks to Linda’s hard work and organisation, boxes of toys were immediately rehomed with two other primary schools, as well as directly within Lakeside itself.

This is exactly why school and workplace toy drives are so important to us. They allow us to quickly get toys into the hands of children, schools, and services that truly need them — while also helping to keep perfectly good toys out of landfill ♻️

We’re so excited that Lakeside Primary School are already looking at running at least TWO toy drops every year. It’s amazing to see a school community so passionate about helping children, supporting other services, and creating a more sustainable future for unwanted toys.

Thank you again, Lakeside Primary — you should all be incredibly proud 💙
