Every time I pick a tomato, cut some salad, harvest a cucumber and cut a dahlia, I get the most incredible feeling of absolute contentment. Our garden is not big and I grow on a teeny tiny scale but, honestly, harvesting your homegrown bounty, even if it’s just a few tomatoes or a small bunch of basil, is the best feeling. Even if your outside space is a windowsill or a pot by the door, plant some seeds, nurture them and you’ll get that immense satisfaction.

What a gorgeous article in this month's Suffolk Magazine celebrating 18 years of our work in Lavenham. I had no idea when I decided to try and save Lavenham Farmers Market from closure, that it would become the basis for a family run business working with so many growers, farmers, bakers , brewers, foragers and makers. And that it would last this long!
On Sunday August 30th we are bringing together almost 80 stallholders selling a range of crafts, food, art, flowers, drinks and street food. I think it will be a lovely way to reflect on the last 18 years and I hope lots of you will join us.
It's also a great day to visit Lavenham where the Classic Car Show will be open on the playing fields and all the beautiful independent shops, cafes, pubs and ice cream parlours will be open on the High Street and in Market Place.

Lavenham Craft & Foodie Market will open from 10am - 4pm and will be held inside and outside Lavenham Village Hall and on Glebe Field.
Parking is available in all the village car parks and there is also parking available at the Car Show which costs £5 to park all day and is a five minute walk from the village hall.

Lavenham Farmers Market is open, as usual, this Sunday, August 23rd and on Bank Holiday Sunday, August 30th, we are holding a very lovely Craft and Foodie Market inside and outside Lavenham Village Hall.
Two perfect chances to spend some time in one of the UK’s prettiest villages. Both are free to enter!

We have a rare weekend off so before I start filling my beach bag ready for a walk up the coast, here are our markets over the coming few weeks.
Lavenham Farmers Market is open on August 23rd with, as always, an award winning selection of the very best food and drink.
This is followed by our fabulous Sudbury Farmers Market on August 28th which currently has more stalls than we have ever had before on Market Hill.
On Sunday August 30th our very special Lavenham Craft & Foodie Market will be throwing open the doors at Lavenham Village Hall as we showcase over 80 of our regions very best makers, artists, crafters and food producers.
Before we know it, September is here and we start again at Colchester Farmers Market swiftly followed by Bury St Edmunds Farmers Market!
You see a weekend off certainly is a rare thing in this household! Have a lovely couple of days everyone and we'll see you soon. ###

You'll find her stall outside Lavenham Village Hall on Glebe Field, alongside a gorgeous range of artists, crafters, food & drink producers and makers.

All Catherine's work is designed and made in her Suffolk studio and we are delighted she is joining us at our Lavenham Craft & Foodie Market on Sunday August 30th.

You'll find her stall inside Lavenham Village Hall alongside over thirty other artists, crafters and makers and outside the hall, and on Glebe Field, you'll discover another whole range of food, drink and more craft stalls! The perfect Bank Holiday Day Out!
