So let’s talk about the upward journey of redmistuk.com trading in failing Britain.
I started the business in 2018 selling brands as vampire v**e, V2, VIP etc, in an industry driven by numbers only with no due diligence I was finding dealing with Vampire V**e (Flavour Warehouse) more & more difficult as customer service is definitely not their strong point, so I decided, inspired by their incompetence, to start my own in house licensed eliquid brand, going from 6 flavours 1 brand range to today at 85 flavours with 5 successful brand ranges, I do not & have never had to, undersell giving my brands away cheaply as, customers love the award winning flavours and regularly order boxes of 10 at full price. This in an industry not properly regulated where anyone can sell any cheap rubbish.
I have NEVER failed an age challenge test. NEVER had trading standard issue with ANY products, because I strictly stick to the law & ethics of business & high standards with total transparency. I have helped stopped 1000’s of people from smoking ci******es as va**ng is the NUMBER 1 stop smoking aid in the UK, but that’s clearly not what they want, the tax is not about controlling youth va**ng it is blinded greed overtaxation.
However, the government does not want businesses like mine or to police the industry properly by zero tolerance, as in 2026 like most industries we pretty much police ourselves whilst paying for the pleasure of.
With the introduction of VPD on the 1st October 2026 which adds £2.64 tax on a 10ml bottle of eliquid ,I will be looking to exit the industry April 2027 as I am NOT an unpaid tax collector & I have no doubt whatsoever that this will not work economically or logistically as in a failing country that forces people to buy cheap & take more risk, because everything you are forced to pay for is constantly going up whilst services go down, who is paying double for a product already driven by cheapest price in a country with a hunger for cheap Primark mentality? Nobody!
Unfortunately for them I don’t ever give up, it’s just not in my DNA so, I will be actively transferring the business at the same premises to an animal accessory & feed business, which I am confident will thrive with high quality own brand “Wags Boutique” accessories.
This is not a negative take on business, it is 100% a positive never give up no matter the obstacles take, on running a business!
