A slightly different week at the Apothecary…

Some of you will have noticed that the Smithy was unexpectedly closed for much of last week, and that I also disappeared from Ye Olde Witch Fayre in Newark yesterday.

Unfortunately, I’ve had a bit of an unexpected health wobble and, after a trip to hospital, I’m now going in for surgery.

And, because we all know I’m the absolute queen of riding through symptoms and blaming everything on the ME… a gentle reminder to my fellow chronic illness warriors: get new or unusual symptoms checked. Sometimes it is just our bodies doing their usual nonsense, but sometimes it’s something else entirely!

So plans have had to change rather rapidly!

🌿 Monday evening’s Rutland Morris event WILL still be going ahead as planned. Tea and Cake will be available as the Morris dance on the Green. Trust me there’s lots of cake!

🍄 Wednesday’s Hobbit Moot Party will also go ahead without me, thanks to the lovely Moot crew who know how to hobbit…

After Wednesday, the physical shop will be closed while I have surgery and recover. I’ll let you know as soon as I have a better idea of when I’ll be able to reopen.

The website will remain open, though, and orders will still be going out. Will has been promoted to Chief Apothecary Packer and is, thankfully, very good at it! 📦😂

Thank you to everyone who has messaged, checked in, rearranged things and generally helped keep Pippin’s Potions ticking over while I’ve been unexpectedly derailed.

Normal witchy service will resume as soon as this particular side quest is dealt with. 🐝🌿

Thank You, Flag Fen

What a wonderful day we had yesterday at the Mind, Body & Spirit Fair at Flag Fen.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by our little apothecary, browsed, chatted, shared stories, and took home a little piece of Pippin’s Potions. Your support means more than you know.

We were completely blown away by the response to our herbal teas, with several blends selling out, and our Salt Sizzlers proved just as popular. It was lovely seeing so many people discovering us for the first time, and catching up with familiar faces too.

As a small independent business, days like these really do make all the difference. Every purchase helps us keep creating, blending and dreaming up new things.

We’re now busy restocking the shelves (and blending lots more tea!) ready for our next adventure at the Newark Witch Fayre next weekend.

Today's Autumn Trader Introduction... Pippin's Potions

I'm delighted to welcome Pippin's Potions to Soulful Gatherings for the very first time this September.

One of the things I love most about welcoming new traders is discovering the passion behind their business. Although I haven't yet had the pleasure of meeting Sam, you can already sense the care, creativity and thought that's gone into every aspect of Pippin's Potions. It's exactly the kind of independent business I love bringing to Soulful Gatherings.

Inspired by folklore, nature and the changing seasons, Pippin's Potions is a beautiful cottage apothecary creating handmade aromatherapy products, candles, room mists, salt sizzlers, body creams, perfume oils and seasonal ritual gifts in small batches. Every creation is thoughtfully crafted to bring a little everyday magic into your home.
I'm really looking forward to welcoming Sam to the Autumn Fayre and introducing Pippin's Potions to our wonderful Soulful Gatherings community.
