What a busy afternoon we had today! 😊

We welcomed a group of 2 and a family group of 6 to the workshop. With ages ranging from 20s to 90s 🌞 The best part? Only one person had worked with glass before!

Everyone got stuck in and created some fantastic fused glass pieces, including coasters, trees, dream catchers, flowers and waves. It's always amazing to see how different each person's creativity shines through.

We can't see how they all look when fired.

A big thank you to my mum Julie Wickett for lending a helping hand today – it was very much appreciated! ❀️

If you've been thinking about trying fused glass, why not book a workshop? Whether you're looking for a fun activity with friends, family, a celebration, or simply want to learn something new, we'd love to welcome you to Teylu Glass.

Running a small business is incredibly rewarding, but it can also be challenging. Behind every small business is a real person (or family!) pouring their time, energy, passion and often their heart into making it succeed.

When you support a small business, you're helping local people, local families and your local community.

The good news is that support doesn't always have to cost money. Some of the most valuable ways you can help a small business are:

πŸ‘ Liking their posts
πŸ’¬ Leaving a comment
πŸ“² Sharing their content
⭐ Leaving a review
πŸ—£οΈ Recommending them to friends and family ❀️ Simply engaging with their page

These small actions help more people see local businesses and can make a huge difference to their growth.

To everyone who has supported Teylu Glass by attending a workshop, purchasing a piece, sharing a post, leaving a review or recommending us to others – thank you.

Every bit of support means more than you know.

This Small Business Week, why not give a shout-out to one of your favourite local businesses in the comments? Let's help spread the love and support our amazing local community. πŸ’™

βœ¨πŸ”Ή Ever wondered where all those little glass beads come from? πŸ”Ήβœ¨

Here's a behind-the-scenes look at one of the most time-consuming, but important, parts of what we do at Teylu Glass.

Rather than letting workshop off-cuts go to waste, we carefully hand-cut leftover glass into hundreds of tiny squares and unique shapes. These little pieces become the colourful beads that add texture, detail and character to so many of your creations.

You'll spot them throughout the work created – from pebbles on beach scenes and flower centres to decorative details in suncatchers and seasonal pieces.

They are also a key feature in many of our Christmas decorations and are used extensively in our popular no-cutting workshops.

It's a slow process, but we love finding ways to reduce waste and transform every usable piece of glass into something beautiful.

Next time you see one of the finished creations, take a closer lookβ€”you might just spot some of these tiny hand-cut treasures hidden within the design. πŸ’™
