This bear was made for a lovely customer of mine — and a fellow runner who has supported my small business more than once. 🥰
She recently lost her mum, so this bear has been made from her mum’s favourite dressing gown, creating something she can treasure forever.
And because the dressing gown was such an important part of the memory, I made a matching dressing gown for the bear to wear too.

Latest wedding dress bear. This dress had been kept in perfect condition since the wedding day 43 years ago. I’ve incorporated as many details from the original dress as possible, from the sleeve to the petticoat. I made the veil smaller and attached to the original headband. Customers 5 star review ‘From the moment I ordered my wedding bear, Emma kept in touch with updates etc.
The finished product is superb. Exceeded all my expectations.
If you’re thinking of creating a bear from that wedding dress thats been in the loft forever, go ahead. You will be so happy that you did.

This memory bear was one of the most challenging projects I’ve worked on.

The original wedding dress was heavily stained throughout, making it difficult to find suitable areas of the outer fabric to use. Every piece had to be carefully planned to preserve as many of the dress’s special features as possible.

The bear features the original corset-style lacing on the back, recreated from the wedding gown’s own fastening. The beautiful detailing from the neckline, sleeves, back, were carefully removed from the stained fabric and hand-stitched into its new positions on the bear.

The wedding dress originally had a pleated wrap-around effect on the skirt, which I’ve echoed with pleats to one side of the bear’s skirt. To complete the look, I incorporated the original diamond-shaped embellishment from the gown as a finishing detail.

Despite the condition of the dress, I was able to preserve many of the elements that made it unique, transforming a cherished wedding gown into a keepsake that can be treasured for years to come. ❤️🐻

This bear is part of a recent order of six, this one is made from a bright, colourful towel — and it’s my first time making a memory bear from a towel. Really happy with how well the colours came through on this one, I think the extra time taken to plan the pattern placement really paid off

Two very special bears from a recent order of six 🧸💙

These memory bears were lovingly created from a lady’s suit, with soft blue fleece from pyjamas used for the ears and feet for a gentle contrast. Each one is finished with a neck tie, beautifully styled into a bow — adding such a timeless and personal touch.
