🍸Cocktail know-how 🍸

Fancy upping your game with homemade cocktails with a swirl of soft foam on top? It's not a bad idea as not only can a foam look lovely on the right drink, it can really elevate the texture and aroma too.

The snag for many is that they don't fancy using raw egg white to create the foam but did you know that an easy, cheap alternative is to use the liquid from a tin of chickpeas instead?

Give it a whirl and share your results... don't forget, to get a great foam you have to shake as of your life depends on it 😆🤪

Just about to take this one off the Mixology Hub on the website so thought we'd share on here since it's such a summer corker!

Just throw all the ingredients into a shaker with plenty of ice and shake as vigorously as you can for at least 30 seconds. Strain into a glass and garnish with a basil leaf, chunk of fresh pineapple or a slice of lime.

If you don't fancy using egg white, there are plenty of alternatives such as a cocktail foamer (just add a few drops) or aquafaba (the liquid from a can of chickpeas... yes, really!).

This is definitely a cocktail worth trying on a warm summers day - it's got that pina colada vibe with an extra zap of refreshing citrus to really hit the mark 🧉🥥🍋‍🟩🌞

Another month jam-packed full of events for us! Some are brand new (to us) and others are favourites that we return to year after year. What they all have in common is that they'll be fun, lively and have plenty for the whole family to do. And they're all local which means lots of small local businesses who can't wait to meet local customers and who truly value every bit of support that comes their way.

Please check your diaries and if you can make it, be sure to come and see us. After July, events season will get a little quieter for us as we embark on the school holiday juggle so now's your chance!

Sunny literally couldn’t have put it better. We couldn’t be happier to be working with Chaii Hub - St Neots - a brilliant local business that shares the same family values and totally gets what it’s like to run a small business with all its ups, downs and everything in between. Plus, anyone who knows us would know how much we LOVE Indian food and there’s nowhere else around that does it like Chaii Hub 😋❤️

A fab line up of events for us this evening and Sunday. James and Shey will be at St Neots Food Feast this evening with COLD drinks as well as bottles to take home. Remi will be making his market debut at on Sunday which he’s really looking forward to. And Alison will be over at Hemingford Makers & Produce Market on Sunday, relishing the cooler temperatures 😁🤞

Who knew Amalfi lemons have whacking great big thorns?! And yesterday, whilst peeling 40kg of them, I sustained this rather significant injury. It may not look like much but believe me, this is the paper cut of the 'stabbed by a thorn' world 😆

Anyway... what this means is that we have been busy making another batch of our Limoncello as the most recent batch is sold out. If you're after a bottle, never fear, it will reappear on our website in around a week so watch this space. In the meantime, think of me whilst I recover, all in the name of this delicious Limoncello 💛🍋

We’re very lucky to be in such a lovely location in the grounds of Ely Cathedral today.

It’s already roasting hot (although I’m not a hot weather person) there’s live music, plenty of delicious food vans, gorgeous artisan stalls and of course some local handmade spirits in the form of Saragusta!!

Entry to the outside market is free, tickets needed for inside the cathedral. We’re here today until 9pm and tomorrow until 4.30pm.
