Can we just clarify something....yesterdays fair was run by WBC as a youth fair to start young people on their journey to make a living....WBC put everything together.... stalls were erected by a group of workers... the fairground was also put up by them....yes it was great to see and the turn out was fantastic... it was well advertised on social media and wirral globe ... plus every lamppost had signs on around the village...plus a banner on the church railings... sadly a few people are critising our usual fairs which take a lot of work to sort... we used to have it along allport lane but WBC wanted over 1k for the road closure... I believe it's about 3k now according to a council worker...BVCA who run our usual fairs work hard to put 2 fairs a year on for the community ..
They dont get paid a penny...and they do it to bring people in the village together and to support the shops we have here... they are crying out for volunteers...they are a very small group who arnt getting any younger... so please.... be thankful for the work they do.. it's very sad to see some of the comments on here about our usual fairs...so please be respectful when commenting....thank you.....
