Happy New Year everyone and thank you for all your support in 2025! For all of you following us here there's a 50% discount on all books at Second Page from today until Monday 5 January! This isn't advertised in the bookshop, so to you will need the password at the till, "I hear it is snowing in Russia", to which we will reply "yes, it is very cold for the time of year". Bingo!

Check out this sumptuous collection of vintage paperback crime fiction from the 1930s, 40s & 50s.

Love the iconic cover art, so evocative of this period, including the classic green Penguins, which they started publishing in 1935.
