Uberfrank’s first ever left-handed Spellbinder has landed — spec’d as a 27” scale baritone and finished in head-turning Chartreuse yellow. Bold looks, serious low end, and built to thrive in drop tunings. I LOVE it when a customer goes all in on a fearless, unapologetic spec like this.

US-bound next week.

It’s taken me a long time to get around to this! But after quite a few requests here’s the short scale bass version of my most popular model, the Spellbinder.

- 30” scale length
- overwound 4-pole Musicmaster pickup
- 3 position switch allows for 3 easily accessible sounds with only 1 pickup : volume, no tone control | volume and tone | volume and fixed tone (mid boost)

So inspired returning from the amazing last weekend! So much brilliant work and great to make new friends! Looking back at the few photos I took I realised how many things and people I should have taken pictures of (I was in too much of a trance to take a photo of )but here are some highlights…

A rather tropical Spellbinder Custom in Cozumel Blue metallic for .

Open grain finish (and matching neck) with an orange anodised aluminium pickguard. Ziricote fingerboard and matching bespoke trem tip. Hipshot knurled tuners on a reverse headstock.

This is a really versatile sounding guitar with a multiverse of switching options!

- 3 way toggle (bridge, bridge and neck, bridge)
- Illuminated Tesi switch for the middle pickup
- Series / Parallel switching
- Volume k**b with push/push control for out of phase.
- Passive 2 band EQ on the tone k**b allows the guitar to cut through a mix nicely.
- Kill switch

He very kindly agreed to let me show it at this weekend’s before sending in to him. It’s been such a pleasure working with him on this one!

Here’s a super fun Spellbinder in Prawn Cocktail Pink with a Bog Oak fingerboard carbon dated between 6-8000 years old.

Custom wound , a Firebird hiding under a gold foil cover at the neck with a P-90 inspired beast at the front. 4 way switching allows a series mode too.

Lovely and light - only 3.2kg /7lbs (so should fit in my baggage allowance for flying to the this week!)
