Lancing Carpet Planners was founded by Glenn and Martin in 1979. We first met in the early 1970’s when working for another company “Rushtons” where we were taught

the trade. Originally we were a contract fitting service supplying fitters to the large companies like Maples, Waring and Gillow, Allieds etc. Martins father Don owned a small carpet shop in Steyning and with his help we started supplying carpets to family and friends. Through word of mouth and recommendations this grew and eventually we opened our own shop “Kemp Town Flooring” in 1994. Martins two sons Sam and Mike now work as fitters for us along with Steve, Andy and Dale all who have been in-house trained and worked for us since they left school. Tony who we worked with years ago has recently returned and helps out with sales, estimating and fitting whilst Glenns grandson Rhys has just started.
