Half a century late to his own photo!

At , 'Slaughter and the Dogs' bassist, Howard Bates, finally posed with Adrian Boot in front of Boot's original band shot, the one Bates missed out of originally as he was out of frame!

Howard went from Bridport to the Punk Rebellion Festival in Blackpool to support The Stranglers.

PLUS he has a new album out on Cadiz Records in September - WHITE HEAT

As part of our ongoing support of Punk Bridport we were pleased to show a double bill of Punk films! They were an instant hit and we cannot recommend them enough. If you didn’t get into Bridport to see them, catch them on streaming platforms soon.

Film: The Rise And Fall Of The Clash

Features previously unseen footage of the band at work and at play, interviews with the individual band members and with those who knew them well, and traces the downward trajectory of a band who were at one point the biggest band in the world. Originally released in 2012, this film written by Danny Garcia shows just how influential the Clash were to certain members of society and the reasons and rivalries which led them to eventually self destruct.

Film: Vive Le Punk

50 years after the Punk Explosion, this documentary follows four bands that are still active today (Sham 69, 999, Ruts DC and The Boys). Featuring intimate band interviews, the film features a powerhouse line up of Punk luminaries with rare archival footage, explosive live performances, and an unflinching look at the punk ethos in today’s world.

As part of Punk Bridport Clocktower Records has put on a series of events in Bridport over the summer. Last week we were celebrating punk with former Melody Maker journalist and author Penny Kiley,

Penny talked about her acclaimed new memoir, Atypical Girl, available now at booksellers and online, we've read it and it's great, here's the synopsis below!
