I've had a little shuffle around on the juicy wall....or the "please don't tell my wife about this" wall.
Here is where the rare and collectable records spend their time. They've all been thoroughly examined, played from start to finish, graded and priced accordingly.
From top left to bottom right we've got...
1. An absolute stunner of Bryter Later by Nick Drake. It's a first UK repress (1970) after the initial first press and in near mint condition the sleeve and wax. Sounds like Nick is in the room singing to you. Just beautiful.
2. A kooky copy of Sticky Fingers. It's a '71 1st UK, VG+ with "STAR" on the zip but for a very brief moment some copies left the plant without being glued on the right hand side resulting in a gatefold. They soon realized their mistake and went quickly back to glueing them properly!
3. A 1971 UK repress of Zep's first record. Still with the plum labels, it's a VG++ on the wax and sounds huuuge!
4. Hawkwind's X in Search of Space complete with the booklet and the elaborate opening sleeve has berely been touched and in mint condition like the wax.
5. A beauty 1971 copy of LA Woman. It's a UK 1st so has the collectable yellow window sleeve. Little bit of edge wear on the sleeve but the vinyl is gorgeous.
6. The middle row is stacked with 90's gems from Shed 7, Terrorvision, Ride, Pulp and Monster Magnet. All first press, all near mint condition all sound divine. The Terrovision is the rarer limited edition silver sleeve and the Monster Magnet is the limited red vinyl, 1st US.
7. Jeff Beck - Truth. A lovely 1968 1st UK mono press in VG+ condition. What a debut!
8. The second record from Van Der Graff Generator. A 1970 1st UK, near mint with desirable pink scroll labels. Get your prog on baby!
9. Black Sabbath's second record Paranoid. This one's a 1970 UK repress with a little sleeve wear but lovely on the wax.
10. Iron Maiden's self titled debut from 1980. You often find Maiden stuff with a lot of wear to them. They been played, a lot! Not this one. A fine example of a 1st UK metal classic.
11. Finally we have the third album from post punk new wavesters Wire. 154 from 1979. A UK 1st in near mint condition.
