comig silly wnes i amserrr yn ôl ond darlunio’n digidol lot mwy ddiweddar. rhan o series bach o’r enw ‘life with liz’ byddai efallai yn rhannu yn y dyfodol. am nawr, mwynhwech y comig silly billy yma ;p

‘The Pill Can’t Fix Me’ / ‘Nad Ydy Hyn Yn Gweithio’ [EXHIBITED UNTIL END OF MARCH AT BRISTOL!!!]

‘The Pill Can’t Fix Me’ represents how the birth control pill is used as a treatment for problems that it can’t fix. I have used this painting to explore the idea of people being prescribed the pill for endometriosis, which is a disease where cells similar to those in the lining of the womb (uterus) grow in other parts of the body. Women are often prescribed the pill prior to diagnosis which masks symptoms and causes problems to go untreated for years, despite endometriosis continuing to worsen throughout the duration of taking birth control. Inspired by my own struggles with PMDD (Pre Menstrual Dysphoric Disorder) and being on the pill, I have a love-hate relationship with the treatment due to its numerous side effects.

Mae ‘Nad Ydy Hyn Yn Gweithio’ yn cynrhychioli sut mae’r pilsen rheoli cenhedlu yn cael ei ddefnyddio fel triniaeth am broblemau nad ydy e gallu thrwsio. Rydw i wedi defnyddio’r paentiad hwn i archwilio’r syniad o bobl yn cymryd y bilsen ar gyfer endometriosis, sef clefyd Ile mae celloedd tebyg i’r rhai yn leinin y groth yn tyfu mewn rhannau eraill o’r corff. Yn aml, mae pobl sydd â mislif poenus yn cymryd y bilsen cyn diagnosis, sy’n arwain at symptomau yn cael eu guddio am flynyddoedd, er fod endometriosis yn parhau i waethygu drwy gydol y cyfnod o gymryd bilsen rheolu cenhedlu. Wedi’i hysbrydoli gan fy mrofiadau gyda PMDD (Anhwylder Dysfforig Cyn Mislif) a bod ar y bilsen, mae gen i berthynas gariad-casineb â’r driniaeth oherwydd y nifer o sgîl-effeithiau.

hi guys!! here are some books i’ve been binding recently! two notebooks and a sketchbook. this hobby is so addictive and i’m excited to make many more ideas come to life :) i’m still a beginner so don’t mind imperfections you can see hehe x

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 ———> paentiad creuais yn ddiweddar o’r afon!!! rydw i wedi eisiau gwella fy sgiliau gyda paent acrylig am oes felly oedd e’n lysh i eistedd lawr rhywle a teimlo’n hyderus i baentio beth dwi gallu gweld. rydw i’n paentio gyda acrylig am fy swydd ond nad yw e’r un peth lol…

mae’r ardal yma ar bwys yr afon, un o fy top 5 llefydd erioed. mae e’r lle dwi di mynd i feddwl, yn teimlo fy ymmenydd yn cael ei datclymu gan sŵn yr afon.

mwynhaïs paentio hyn a siarad â’r cymuned lleol! dwi ddim yn caru byw ym mhen-y-bont ond roedd e’n really neis i siarad a pobl o’r ardal byddwn i heb siarad â fel arall. diolch i bawb ‘naeth dod lan atai, i gael sgwrs neu i ddweud rhywbeth caredig!!!! :)

a painting i did a few weeks ago. i’ve wanted to improve my acrylic painting skills for a while, wanting to feel confident enough to sit down somewhere and just be able to paint what i see. i acrylic paint at least once a week for my job, but the paintings are not exactly to my taste (lol).

this spot by the river is in my top 5 favourite places. it’s somewhere that i’ve sat and pondered many a time, calmed by the surging river and beautiful view, reminding me how small and irrelevant i really am and how glad i am to experience this beautiful earth i live on.

i loveddd painting this and also interacting with my local community here in bridgend! i don’t particularly love living here, the nature is my favourite part, but it was great to speak to people i wouldn’t usually speak to :) thanks to everyone that came up and spoke to me or said something nice!!!
