✨ A new chapter for Blake House Craft Centre…

You may already know Blake House, but since 1st January 2026 we’ve been under new ownership, and there have been some big changes happening around the site.

From fresh paint, new planters and pathways to new businesses, new facilities and exciting developments already underway, we’re breathing new life into Blake House while keeping what makes it special at its heart. 💚

We’re a little rural shopping destination filled with independent businesses, places to eat, activities, events and plenty of unexpected things to discover… including a few resident peacocks who like to keep an eye on proceedings. 🦚

And we’re only getting started.

Whether you remember Blake House from years gone by or you’ve never visited before, come and see what’s changing for yourself.

We love this collab from What Could Dough Wrong and Sticky Pickle Company 😍

Some exciting news from WCDW Towers…

We’ve been trading now for a little over two years - something that started life as a one-off bit of fun for a local market has grown legs and we’ve enjoyed doing so many markets and events.

We are regularly asked “where can I buy your bread outside of markets?” - and our answer has always been “erm, not easily - although we do bake to order from our Takeley base!” - and now that is changing 🙂

Delighted to confirm our friends at Sticky Pickle Company at Blake House Craft Centre will be stocking our bread on Fridays every week!

On a trial basis initially so we can gauge demand etc - our first delivery will be available from 10am this Friday - will be limited stock available this week and we will see how we get on 🙂 lots of lovely non-bread items available in store too 🙂

More stockists to follow soon - let us know if you can think of anywhere that should stock our bread 🙂 (and tag them here!)

🎨 MAKERS MARKET IN ESSEX THIS SATURDAY! 🛍️

Looking for something a little different to do this weekend? Join us at Blake House Craft Centre, near Braintree, Essex on Saturday 15th August, 10am–4pm for our Makers Market.

We’ll have a lovely selection of independent makers and craft stalls joining the independent shops already here at Blake House, so it’s the perfect excuse for a wander, a browse and perhaps a little treat or two. 👀
