So it's been a while since I've posted...and it's about time I updated you all on where I am at with my business.
I know I have had to turn away a few party enquiries this past year and believe me that has made me sad.
Regular Messy Play Sessions and providing parties for children with SEND had been my ambition from the moment Tuff Tray Easy Play begun. An idea over 6 years ago. It was always about providing sensory experiences for special children that was driving me along. Now my page is 3 followers away from 1k.
The achievements that can be made from little minds through creation stations ...
The shared ideas expanding our children's imaginations.
The pride for SEN parents hosting parties for their children when they once thought would be impossible. All reasons I wanted to succeed with my Tuff Tray Buisness.
I gave it a good run and if I hadn't of been so career focused with my paid job who knows where Tuff Tray Easy Play would be now, had I given it the time it deserved.
Time is the only reason I have had to make tough decisions. Like I've said having to turn away party bookings and say no to events is all because life didn't allow me to committ to everything and as uncertain as life can be, I chose the job that paid my bills.
Tuff Tray Easy Play has become a distant memory yet I have struggled to let it go knowing what potential it had and how much I enjoyed delivering it.
I have been so torn with direction this past year.
1. Selling it to allow someone else to take it over.l and put their stamp on it.
2. Employing someone to grow it for me and give it the time it needed, see it transpire into the weekly stay and play sessions I dreamt of.
3. Burning myself out and say yes to bookings to keep it ticking over.
4. Do nothing and keep all stock with the aim of 'one day'
I opted for none for them.
I couldn't give it up completely, I equally can't take up so much storage for a 'one day' idea.
Instead I'm providing the joy for the fun of it!
Something crazy happened this week ...
I launched the squirrels section at my local scout group. (4-6 year olds) I have been involved with the scout group for 8 years now.
I have donated a fair amount of my resources to the scout group to utilise.
It means I can still provide sensory stories, creation stations and topic based play trays all within the security of 'squirrels'
So this does mean unfortunately no more private bookings.
However if anyone has any expert advise on setting up a not for profit organisation then public events can be considered in the future.
For now this is it !
Tuff Tray Easy Play is dedicated to planning the programme of squirrels
