✨ THE GLORIOUS 12TH ✨

The Glorious 12th is more than the beginning of the shooting season, it’s a celebration of the dedication, hard work and commitment that goes into getting to this point.

When you look for the glory in today, look beyond the gun. ❤️

Last year I wrote this poem for the Glorious 12th and the second last verse couldn’t be more accurate -

“Burning the heather, think it’s a crime,
When healthy and purple, it’s truly sublime.
Left to grow rank, wild, and alone,
It offers no shelter, is no true home.
It will burn - don’t be fooled. The Glen would be overruled.
Not controlled, safe and fair but wild and destructive with no care.”

It’s time those on the ground are listened to. Gamekeepers and farmers care deeply about the land they are responsible for. They care for it holistically and manage the balance with generations of wisdom, knowledge and with unmatched care and dedication.
