The second most requested update on the Perth pub is here! Here's the fifth and final in the gradual drip feed of what you'll find to drink & eat at the Wasted Degrees Pub in Perth. Time for the beer & cider list!
After this, the next post you see from the pub will be the announcement of its opening...
Part 5: Beer & Cider
From the moment we open, you'll have 28 kegs on tap! This includes the four wines and two cocktails already announced. There'll be 20 beer taps and 2 cider taps.
Beer-wise, the focus is & always will be the beers we brew at the Wasted Degrees brewery in Blair Atholl. The full Wasted Degrees core range will be on permanently (Pilsner, Pale, Amber Rye, Atholl Gold) plus an ever changing line-up of our limited editions and special releases, usually an additional 15 beers annually. Over the last few months, we've even kept a hold of some particularly special kegs of beer for the Pub that have otherwise sold out at the brewery. On opening night, these include: West Coast IPA, Can't See The Wood For The Trees IPA, Blueberry Sour, 1870 Red, 80/- Shilling, Evergreen Amber spruce beer, Outlaw Stout, Barrel Aged Barley Wine and Barrel Aged Imperial Stout.
Did we mention that all Wasted Degrees beers are brewed with barley grown just 5 miles from the pub? This is beer brewed in Perthshire, made from Perthshire.
We'll have a handful of guest kegs on too, changing regularly, including the following on opening day: Gluten Free Williams Bros Joker IPA, Alcohol Free Jump Ship Jackstaff, Fyne Rook Nitro Stout and Shenanigans Pale, Origins Pinc, Vault City Hot Honey Apple Mango Sour and 3 Fonteinen Oude Lambic 2019 vintage.
And for the cider drinkers, we've sourced from two Scottish producers: Pictish from Cairn o' Mohr in Perthshire and a Scottish berry cider from Thistly in East Lothian.
From light and session, to malty, sour, dark or imperial strength barrel aged brews, you'll always find a broad range of options on tap and different kegs appearing regularly to keep things interesting.
