Following recent news regarding plug-in-solar panels, the Government will allow this new opportunity enabling households to produce their own energy after 27th August. However, there still appears to be a certain criteria around simply buying panels and installing them.
Consumers will not be able to output more than 800W of power and will not be able to import electrical energy, store it and then used at a later date.
šøIt is expected that ābalcony solarā can save customers between Ā£70-Ā£110 per year.
The approximate cost for the panels are expected to be around Ā£400. Lidl, Curryās, Asda, Currys, B&Q, Wickes, Screwfix and Amazon are all keen to sell plug-in-solar panels. Lidl appear well positioned to support the initiative having knowledge and experience after their success in Germany, one of Europeās leading countries in Balcony solarš
