I’ve finally found a house with much better balance than me… 😅

My incredibly lovely Mom and Dad surprised us with a trip away to Wales this week - and somewhere between the gorgeous weather, exploring with our little family - plus Bertie’s first experience of the sea and wandering around a house that quite literally turns everything on its head…

…I remembered that maybe you don’t always need to know exactly where you’re going.

Sometimes it’s enough to be curious, change the angle and see what happens.

I’ve had longer than I ever intended to have off my little business - but in hindsight, I think it’s what was really needed 💛

One piece of technology completely changed Jacob’s hospital experience…

I’d heard of things like this, but I’d never seen one in action - and never thought it would be in a hospital setting.

Honestly… it was amazing!!

During Jacob’s dressing changes, he was watching stingrays, standing beneath the Northern Lights and exploring Victoria Falls instead of focusing on what was happening around him.

Those few minutes of escape made such a difference.

Massive thank you to Olivia, Wayne and the incredible Healthcare Play Team and doctors and nurses at Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

You turned some really difficult moments into something Jacob could actually look forward to.

We’ll never forget that! 💛

A little update on Jacob ❤️

When we shared the story of the World Cup sticker book, we never imagined the weeks that would follow.

What started with a small act of kindness from Kyle led us into a chapter filled with so many incredible people.

From the burns team who guided us, the nurses who cared for him, the play therapists who helped make scary moments feel manageable, and the surgeon who gave Jacob the best chance to heal - we really are so grateful!

And Jacob - what a boy!

He has taken every appointment, every dressing, starting his summer holidays being at the Children’s every other day - and his operation in his stride.

Thank you to everyone who has asked about him, sent messages and quietly been there ❤️

Yesterday, I rang Nisa Local in Bearwood to check if they had a World Cup sticker book for Jacob…

The day before, he had suffered burns to his stomach and foot after an accident at home, and it needed hospital treatment.

It had been a frightening couple of days, but he handled it so, SO well!!

The only thing he kept talking about was a sticker book he wanted to spend his pocket money on…

While I was on the phone to the lovely lady at , a customer at the till overheard the conversation.

His name was Kyle.

And completely unprompted, he quietly said he wanted to pay for it for Jacob. He said he had children himself and knew how we must all be feeling.

I’ve never met him. He’s never met Jacob.

He didn’t need to do anything at all.

But he chose kindness anyway.

Kyle… if you ever see this - THANK YOU!

You turned a really difficult moment into something we’ll also remember for the right reasons.

And if anyone in happens to know a Kyle who was in that day - please, please let him know or tag him in the comments.

We really would love the chance to say thank you properly ❤️

Sometimes it’s easy to feel like the world is heavy with bad news…

But! Moments like this remind us that there is still so much good in people, quietly happening in everyday places.

Kyle, I really want you to know how much this gesture actually meant to us. You made one very little boy smile the biggest smile!

I won’t lie… I’ve had a proper “shall I just pack this in?” moment with Noah’s Art 🤦🏻‍♀️

There’s been a lot going on behind the scenes lately - family stuff, emergency ops, all of it - which is why I’ve not been as on it as I normally am.

I’m working through everything properly now and getting back into my rhythm again.

I won’t be jumping back into markets just yet while things are still a bit different at home, but I will be back - and this time it will be in a more structured way!

If you’ve stuck around, been patient, or just quietly waited while I’ve been a bit all over the place… thank you. It really does mean such a lot 💛
