It is with great sadness that we say goodbye this Friday to our beautiful and amazing SUPER DAN…NII as she leaves The Crafty Cow and moves onto pastures new. We will miss her so much and are very grateful for the assistance she’s given us over the years - a merry band of menopausal women, constantly losing where we’ve left things, what we were supposed to be doing next as we are always forgetting and giving technical support to us technophobes! For coming up with many fabulous recipes for our milkshakes, expertly making beautifully presented and decorated coffees, keeping us updated with the latest trends crafty wise and remembering the prices on all the items in the pick and mix jars. There’s always a flat white here ready for you when you’re passing Dannii.

NEW FABRICS - this stunning selection of Shimmers by Debbie Edwards are gorgeous. If you are interested in them you will need to be quick as we have only been sent 5 metres of each 😱, £18 a metre, £9 a half.

Hello you lovely lot. Know anyone off to Uni next month, or starting college or a new school?
How about making them a blanket? We’ve always believed that when a blanket is made with love, the recipient feels that love as a hug when they wrap themselves in it. It doesn’t need to be fancy, even small crocheted or knitted squares can be sewn together to make a blanket.
We are open 10am - 2 pm today and closed next Saturday, Monday and Tuesday ( 29 & 31 Aug and 1 Sept) for the bank holiday.
From September our Saturday hours will be 9am-1pm, weekdays unchanged 9-4.

Many of you may also have some old school uniform that’s not longer required. If you’re brave enough to cut it up, it can be used to make a lovely array of items, including being part of a patchwork blanket or made into a teddy. We have a fantastic stock of Guttermans threads, zips, recycled toy stuffing, safety eyes, buttons, trims and much much more. 🧵🪡

AUGUST BANK HOLIDAY
We will be closed on Saturday 29th, Monday 31st of August and Tuesday 1st September. Team Cow will be busy counting buttons and balls of wool to enter onto our new till while we are closed.
So leading up to then, if you can’t find what you need in the shop, please just ask us as it maybe in another room ready for counting.
In the meantime we are open 9-4 weekdays and 10-2 this Saturday (from September our Saturday hours will be 9-1). So, make sure you are stocked up with all crafting supplies you will need for over the bank holiday break. 💜🐄💜

Hiya folks, we are closing at 3pm today only (Thursday 13th Aug). Unfortunately the heat is making us feel ill. We are doing our best not to let the heatwaves affect our business too much but today I’m afraid, it’s got the better of us. We will be back at 9am tomorrow.
