Today is International Family Day ❤️

So I thought I'd share a little about me as I haven't really shared much lately - so a little reintroduction if I may 🥰

I'm Nazia, the owner of MS JAAN Creates. MS JAAN is actually an acronym of my family's names. Both mine and my husbands surnames, and then our forenames. Miah, Sultanna, Jewel, Amirah, Aahil and Nazia.

I've always had an artistic flair and love being creative, I am a self taught henna artist for over 20 years - saying my age now 🙈😂 I have just recently started training with Ash Kumar because your never too old to learn and there are always new designs and concepts to learn too!!

Now back to MS JAAN Creates, well I chose this name because I wanted it to mean something to me and be unique too. This business is something I do on my own, sometimes alongside them and hopefully with them coming onboard one day too 🤲🏽

The best thing so far is that my young children are creative too!! My daughter loves henna and whenever its Eid or im practicing new designs she'll pop her hands out, roll her sleeves up and start telling me 'Mommy I want a flower here, some hearts going up the finger, some pretty flowers up my arm' The next thing you know she's having a mini bridal pattern and shes only 6!! 😭😭😭

Now my son he's all about little figurines or cars. Thats where he tests my art skills because I cry inside every time. He thinks their amazing, but im like nooo its not. I've attached a picture for reference. Lets just say figurines are probably what I need to practice next 🙈😂

I've struggled with a few things along my 20+ years as a henna artist myself but his course has made total sense as to why I was struggling. I can't wait to get stuck in with the 1:1s

Teachers Appreciation Gifts 🎁

How has it already come to this time of academic year already?! Time is flying, theres lots happening. And us mums are rushing around trying to keep the many pots we have warm.

Teachers are amazing people who care about our children just as much as we do. Yes, its their job - but have you thought about how difficult it must be to have multiple children with multiple different personalities and coming from different backgrounds and characteristics on a daily basis? Then go home to do their own personal chores and tasks?

I agree Teachers and Parents both share an equal part in the education aspect. But isn't it nice to acknowledge that? Don't we feel seen and appreciated when we are acknowledged?

A gift doesn't have to be expensive, but it does need to show appreciation ✨️

This year's theme is 'Give to Gain'

To all the Women out there young and elder, wise and still learning. To the ones who struggle to make peace with themselves in a world which is full of chaos. To the Women who are holding it down with a village, and to those who are holding it down without a village. To those who keep going yet being frustrated because she is being unheard. Don't stop, we are watching. You are being heard, and you are being seen. Do it for yourself, your future self who will always be proud of you.

I think the most beautiful thing about this year's theme is the fact it is so so versatile. There are so many views on this theme. I've seen some negative ones and I've seen some positive ones. But, ladies - we are all about Empowering one another. We can do this by giving compliments, giving advice, sharing ideas etc.
