How wonderful to hear from one of the most loved writers, Maggie O’Farrell, about her new novel ‘Land’. The Crescent Theatre was completely packed out last night as Maggie talked to Coco Omer about Land, the themes of the book and her writing inspirations. Such a joy to listen to Maggie and a privilege to host this event. Thank you so much to Maggie for coming and to Coco for facilitating this conversation and audience questions.

Maggie is unable to sign books due to a recent operation for RSI. However, the books we have in the shop are stamped with a special signature stamp especially for ‘Land’. Come and get your copy now!

Another album club!

Join us to discuss the 3 key tracks…

Track One: ‘Cruel Little Number’
Track Five: ‘House That Love Built’
Track Eight: ‘It Could All Get Blown Away’

We will start with some introductions and an outline before we start proper.
The discussion will take in an overview of the playlist and your comments, thoughts and views on the album. It will last for around 50 mins and the recording will be edited for a future radio show.

The Album Club is Switch Radio’s regular music review show - think book group but with records! Each month we’ll be discussing a nominated album through a lively, audience led discussion and social event designed for lovers of music, literature and community Radio. The session will be recorded and edited for future broadcast. If you’d like to get involved all you need to do is book a free ticket and have a good listen to the nominated album.
