Now I've got the tools and a bit more skill I thought I'd make a start on making the ACTUAL idea for the Hellion output jack and make this poor prototype look a bit nicer.

My original idea was to have a Strat style boat jack but conceal/recess it to keep the Hellion silhouette from the front. Unfortunately my first attempt happened when I only had a coping saw, a chisel and a hammer 😂😂😂.

I like the concept of Hellions feeling like pre-existing guitars that have been modded or bastardised, I think it adds to making them feel "played in" already. And because the Hellion is my take on a Telecaster why not use some other Fender style bits?

Our Hellion model is the unholy bastard son of the almighty Telecaster. Angrier and nastier in every way!

Now it's starting to look like a shop!

Naturally I've got my personal guitars on display at the minute but eventually 3 wall hooks will be for retail guitars and 2 will be for Astaroth Instruments models 😎🤘

I honestly can't thank enough for sorting the electronics on this, it has honestly been stressing me out so much! 💚💚💚💚💚

Did an incredible job deciphering the sh*tshow I gave him 🤘

A sustainer in the neck with switchable modes.
A passive magnetic pickup in the bridge with a volume, a tone and a little secret weapon.
A piezo pickup system in the bridge with its own volume and switchable modes.
A switch to go between magnetic/both/piezo.
A killswitch with an LED.
2 battery boxes so the piezo system has its own 9v power supply and the LED and sustainer are powered by another (a fail-safe so the less important features don't drain the important piezo system).

And just like the neck I also have some black paint to touch up now 😂

I love this bass, I've loved making it and I can't wait to hear it shake some foundations loose 🤘💚🤘💚

This neck! Honestly though, this neck! We've been through some highs and lows together 😂

It was so very nearly done but then I realised I'd forgotten the glow in the dark side dots and that's where it all went wrong hahaha.

Drilling and installing the side dots was/is no problem but when I repainted the green I realised I didn't know exactly where each dot was 🫠. This led to at least 5 resprays using different methods of masking the dots and all were unsuccessful.

Until I found latex masking paint!!!!! A couple of drops on each dot worked perfectly. But then the masking tape I used covered the neck in glue residue so I had to clean all that off and now I need to do the black.... again.

We're out of the woods now and it's full steam ahead 🤘

Just FYI those inlays aren't paint, they're actual full fretboard acrylic inlays 😎

My personal guitar collection in the shop!

Being honest I've got no idea what's in them 😂 it's been a loooooong time since I've seen them.

I'm thinking of filming a video where I'll open them and we'll see what I've got and what an awful mess I've left them all in 🫣😬🫣.
There's nothing particularly interesting or valuable though I know that for a fact 😆

Stickerbomb motherf**kers!!!!!!

Not guitar related in the slightest, I just love bikes and I've decided to stickerbomb my road bike.

Childish? Yes. Do I care? No.

Now I just need to not be scared to leave the house AND not be too self conscious to ride my bikes 😐😶😶‍🌫️🫥
