To coincide with celebrating our 10 years in business this year we have just launched 3 new categories to our extensive and evolving cosmetic formulation capabilities:

*Male Grooming
*Fragrance
*Colour Cosmetics

At Global Cosmetic Developments, we partner with brands to design formulations that are technically robust, commercially viable, and aligned with evolving consumer expectations. We have seen a need to expand our capabilities and expertise within these categories due to market demand and due to how these categories have evolved and what the consumer in today’s world expects from them.

Happy Monday to all! I feel rested and ready for a really busy September after our summer shutdown in August. I enjoyed family time and also some special time with my Bracco Italiano Hank. We were also parents to Beagle Wilson who passed over the rainbow bridge nearly two years ago (which was gut-wrenching).
I have always been a massive dog lover, having been brought up with them since I was born. I am a huge animal lover in general, ever since I started formulating cosmetics has always interested me, I have been quite active in formulating Pet Care products recently, the demand for more sustainable and natural formulations is growing within this category, it’s great to see more and more ingredient suppliers launching ingredients aimed for pets, the demand for more innovative formulas isn’t just limited for pets but also for cattle and animals that compete such as horses, there is so much potential for innovation in this area and Global Cosmetic Developments Ltd is excited to be at the forefront of it.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of helping out at the CATALYST SCIENCE DISCOVERY CENTRE AND MUSEUM TRUST LIMITED for their Sun Protection Scientists Workshop. The UV Photo Booth was an eye opener in terms of how it can show you how well you have applied sunscreen, demonstrating the importance of application and how much you apply determines how well you are protecting yourself from UV rays. Well done to the team at the museum and to all the sponsors .ci Cosmetics Cluster Uk, Cheshire and Merseyside Cancer Alliance and us the workshop is interactive and fun and hopefully helps inspire the next generation of Suncare scientists! It is running for two weeks so pop down to visit if you have a free morning or Afternoon with the kids!

and are evolving, over the last few years new product categories are emerging within the category due to the demand for more sustainable and which includes switching to more sustainable cleansing and conditioning agents or creating formulas that reduce the amount of water needed for cleansing, conditoning and hair styling, both in the manufacturing process and for general use.

Scalp care is now a whole new product category, its evolution is changing the way we look after our hair and scalp and is changing the traditional approach to cleansing, conditioning and hair styling.

Over the past few years we have been very involved in developing formulas within this category which has helped me learn about innovative approches to hair and scalp care, it is also refreshing to see quite a few suppliers bringing to market more natural alternatives to synthetic conditioning agents such as PQ10 and BTAC, they seem to have their challenges but do perform really well.

Often the science in haircare goes overlooked, it really isn’t easy and experience is essential to develop cutting edge formulations.

We are excited to announce that is one of the sponsors for this exciting Suncare Project which is being organised by Cosmetics Cluster UK and CATALYST SCIENCE DISCOVERY CENTRE AND MUSEUM TRUST LIMITED. We are very passionate about and believe it is important to educate families and children from an early age about the importance of Sun Protection. We are looking forward to taking part to help raise awareness along side UK Suncare Brands and Businesses.
