The pannier market, is a very historical site, dating back since medieval times, the pannier market was first built in the early 1800's. The tiny quaint shops were first used as butcher's shops, but with the large supermarkets taking over most of our food produce the pannier market has re-invented itself as an arts and crafts centre

of Bideford. The shops are now filled with Artists, Craftsmen & women, cafe's, Antiques,craft workshops, collectables, sweets, Brick a brack and much much more. Come and take a walk down memory lane there really is nothing else like it in North Devon.
