You get the entire riverside apartment (accommodating 1 - 6 people) to yourselves, with us delivering delicious Organic, Fairtrade & homegrown vegan breakfasts to your door (plus evening desserts if also ordered!)
We charge one price year round, with no unfair increases for weekends or school holidays, & no hidden extra charges.
The apartment is priced at £90 per person per night bed and breakfast for 2 guests sharing 1 double bedded room.
Additional single sofa bed made up (+1 person, same room) add £70 per night b&b.
Single occupancy, whole apartment £125 per night b&b.
2 guests sharing apartment with separate bedrooms £115 per person per night b&b.
Second double bedroom with 2 additional guests sharing, add £75 p/p/p/n b&b.
* Children up to 3 years old stay for free.*
We also supply a travel cot, highchair, changing mat, books, toys & games.
* We have a 5% discount on all bookings of 4 nights or longer; 10% discount on bookings of 7+ nights.*
Due to demand we have a min 2 nights stay throughout the year.
The apartment is a great low-allergy environment, as animals are not allowed, both under our contract, & due to serious allergies.
We have an on site vintage shop for you to browse, with payments taken by cash or PayPal.
There is private off-road parking for up to 2 vehicles, & lockable storage for 2 cycles.
Berwick railway station (East Coast mainline) is a 20 minute walk away. You can either get a bus/taxi, or walk down through the beautiful Castle gardens & along the riverside to Loaf - a wonderful way to arrive.
Newcastle & Edinburgh city centres are both 45 mins direct train from Berwick, so perfect for vegan-friendly days out by rail.
Wildlife watch boat trips (look out for dolphins!); the historic Elizabethan Walls; vegan-friendly cafes, restaurants & pubs; independent bookshops & galleries; local cinema & theatre, are all just a 10 minute walk away from your apartment, & sandy beaches are within 20 minutes walk, along with a fabulous vegan bakery at Spittal beach.
The Scottish Borders & North Northumberland are wonderful places to discover by car or bus, with ruined castles & abbeys; historic houses & gardens; reivers' towers; an C18th smuggler's house museum; ancient standing stones; stunning countryside & coast; & historic Lindisfarne Island with a vegan-friendly coffee house, & fully vegan (& g-f) gelato shop just 30 mins drive away.
You're never short of places to explore!
Whilst handily close to town, Loaf is in a peaceful location, like a little slice of countryside in the town.
Pull up a deckchair & watch the river drift by.
