I’m here until 4pm, with a whole Hearth-full of crystals, candles, incense, spell kits, witchy goodies and more — plus our £2 beeswax candle-making activity for little (and big!) hands! 🐝🕯️

I’ve been a little quiet on here for the past few days… but I promise I haven’t disappeared! 🖤

I took a couple of days away from the creating chaos for a very important reason — a trip to Scarborough to see the infamous Hollywood Vampires! 🦇🎸 And yes… they were every bit as incredible as you’d imagine.

That was followed by a bit of much-needed therapeutic beachcombing at Cayton Bay 🌊🪨 because apparently my idea of switching off is wandering along a beach for hours looking at rocks, shells and anything else the sea has decided to leave behind. 😂

But today I’m back home, back in the workshop and creating again — because this Saturday, the Hearth is heading to Saxilby Family Fun Day! 🌿✨

And here’s a little sneaky peek at some of the things I’ve been working on today… 👀

I’ll be bringing lots with me on Saturday, including some brand-new creations making their first appearance.

Sometimes a couple of days away is exactly what’s needed to come back feeling inspired and ready to make beautiful things again. 🖤

Unfortunately, I’ve just been informed that tomorrow’s Hull market has been cancelled by the organisers at very short notice, so sadly Magical Hearth Co. won’t be at St Stephen’s as planned.

This is completely out of my control, and I’m genuinely disappointed as I’d been really looking forward to bringing all my goodies to Hull and seeing some of you there! 😔

I’m sorry to anyone who was planning to come along specifically to see me — especially after I’ve been telling you all that I’d be there.

Hopefully I’ll be able to bring the Hearth back to Hull another time. 🖤🌿

Have you heard there’s a solar eclipse today. 🤭🌑✨

This morning brought a beautiful planetary alignment. Tonight is the peak of the Perseid meteor shower, with the Milky Way stretching across the summer sky.

So, naturally, what am I doing to celebrate this rather miraculous day?

Sitting back and quietly watching the show. ☕️🌌

Because here’s your reminder: you don’t need to make a song and dance about every celestial event.

You don’t need an elaborate ritual.
You don’t need a carefully dressed altar.
You don’t need the “right” crystals, candles or herbs.
You don’t even need to do anything.

Sometimes the ritual is simply noticing.

Looking up.
Being present.
Watching something extraordinary happen and allowing yourself to enjoy it.

Your practice doesn’t have to be performative to be meaningful.

You can experience these moments in whatever way makes you feel peaceful, grounded and connected.

Tonight, my ritual is simply to watch the universe do its thing. 🌑🌠

And I think that’s rather magical enough. And between you and I, I was still tucked up in bed for the planetary alignment and that’s just fine with me. 🤷🏼‍♀️
