A message probably resonant with all the charity shops in the UK, certainly on King Street where we all struggle for space and volunteers. Please help us make the most of the donations and sign up to the charity gift aid scheme if you can and ensure name and address details are up to date, and please only give us the items that are fit to sell or that fall into the categories we recycle.

Please no mobile phones or lap tops;
No baby equipment - cots or prams;
No safety helmets;
No electrical items for our store (we don’t PAT test);
No large items of furniture;
And please pass on books and cds direct to the oxfam book and music shop.

Staff numbers are stretched over the holiday periods so please always ring ahead to ensure we can accept items on the day if you have bags and bags to donate.

We have some fabulous donations that are sold in the shop and online, it is always better to spend more time processing these than sorting and getting rid of the rubbish.
