The Funk Yard is for second-hand drums, percussion, and cymbals, and was set up by Irish Percussionist Stephen J. Stephen also provides other services on an ad hoc basis: covering drum cleaning, maintenance, restoration, and tuning, sourcing drum parts, drumming tips, and occasional lessons. He predominantly plays drum set, cajon, and bodhran.

FOR SALE: Flats Arbiter Cymbal Set — 18" crash/ride, 14" crash, 13" hats.

No cracks, dents or keyholing, but these cymbals have seen things they’ll never speak of again. They look like they’ve spent the last decade hiding in a witness protection programme or someone left them out in the sun that year Donegal was hotter than Spain.

If cymbals had a backstory, these ones would start with: “It all began on a dark night in 2003…”

They sound exactly as Flats should — dry, controlled, and quieter than a teenager when you ask how school was. Perfect for practice rooms, acoustic gigs, or beginners.

Pickup in Belfast. Bring sunglasses if you’re sensitive to unusual colours.

Good condition with some logo fade — which is what happens when a cymbal has lived a long, honest life.

This is the old‑school blue label version, from back when Paiste still made these with a bit of dignity.

It’s sturdy, reliable, and will outlive most of your bandmates’ relationships.

No cracks

No keyholing

No dents

Just a bit of logo fade, which I’m choosing to call “vintage patina” because it sounds fancier.

Sound:

A perfectly respectable ping‑ping‑ping that won’t embarrass you, your drummer friends, or your ancestors.

The bell is loud enough to get attention but not loud enough to summon the police.

If you want a Signature or a K Custom, this isn’t it. If you want something that works, behaves, and doesn’t cost the same as a weekend in Donegal, this is your guy.

Identical in sound, different in personality.

Ride A – £50
The responsible older brother.
Logos intact, looks respectable, would probably turn up to band practice in a tie, on time, and bring biscuits.

Ride B – £40
The wild child.
No logos left because it partied too hard.
Sounds the same, just slightly more “mysterious stranger in a Western film”.

Both in great condition, both loud enough to let the guitarist know you’re sick of their nonsense, and both available separately — unless you want to buy the pair and start a ride‑cymbal wall like a man who’s clearly going through something.

Take your pick.
Or take both.
Your neighbours will regret it either way.

Good condition overall, with a wee bit of fl**ge warping on one side that actually gives it an extra bit of trashy bite.
