Meet another fabulous maker joining our shelves! ✨

You may have already spotted these lovely handmade accessories in our shop over the past couple of weeks... 👀

We're delighted to introduce Cuteryko an Irish accessories brand founded by Belfast maker Chlöe O'Neill.

What began as a creative side project transforming old toys and DS games into quirky earrings soon grew into something much bigger. As the business flourished, Chlöe took the leap into running Cuteryko full time, with her husband now helping to run the business alongside her from their Belfast studio.

Each piece is handmade with care and inspired by everything from favourite cocktails to Irish culture and the little things that make home feel like home. Their collections are playful, creative and full of character, always encouraging people to express their own individuality.

We now stock a selection of their earrings and hair clips at Storybox (the above pics only show a small selection of what we have), and they look right at home in our new gift boxes. ✨ It’s been lovely to see customers already picking them up, taking them home, and sharing photos of them being worn. 💚

We're always passionate about celebrating the stories behind the products we stock, and Chlöe's journey from creative hobby to growing small business is one we're delighted to share.

Have you spotted them in the shop yet?

We're starting the week with a little shout out to our wonderful accountant and bookkeeper, Stephanie from 📊✨

As a small business owner, there are always a million things to juggle, and bookkeeping was one of those jobs I always dreaded. Around six months ago, I finally decided to invest in monthly bookkeeping support and I honestly don't know why I didn't do it sooner.

Stephanie helped me move from spreadsheets to a fully digital bookkeeping system and it's made such a difference. It's saved so much time and headspace, and it has helped me understand our finances in a way I never quite did before, which has been really important for me running a small business. This kind of support isn't just for bigger companies, it's genuinely useful at every stage, and it's all part of the groundwork we're putting in now to help things grow.

But what makes Stephanie stand out isn't just her knowledge and expertise. She's a huge supporter of small businesses and genuinely wants to see people do well. She's a force to be reckoned with in her field, but also one of the most approachable, down to earth people you could meet. Nothing ever feels like a silly question and she has a way of making everything feel far less overwhelming.

If you're a small business owner, or know someone who is, and you've been putting off getting support with bookkeeping or accounts, I genuinely couldn't recommend Stephanie enough.

📷 Stephanie recently popped into our studio for some updated headshots with the talented .photography.ni and I absolutely love how they turned out. The photos are brilliant and capture her perfectly, and it's always lovely to see our space being used in that way too (thanks gals!).

Thank you for everything, Stephanie. I'm so grateful for your support! 💚

A little snapshot of today's workshop with Anita from along with some of the behind the scenes that go into transforming our space.

From shop floor to workshop venue, there’s always a bit of preparation involved. Thanks to Niamh for getting the tables cleared and everything ready yesterday, allowing us to add the final touches before welcoming everyone in.

We love seeing makers bring their workshops to life in the space and watching participants leave with something they've created themselves. It's always a lovely atmosphere.

Anita is back again next week with another of her popular bookbinding workshops and there's just one space remaining. If you'd like to join, you'll find the tickets here: https://storyboxni.com/products/bookbinding-workshop-sun-14th-june-belfast

Still reflecting on a brilliant day at the All Island Entrepreneur Conference. ✨

The event brought together female business owners, entrepreneurs and leaders from across the island to connect, learn, share experiences and hear inspiring stories from a wide range of speakers.

One speaker who particularly stood out was Sherene Powell-Okafor and the story behind HOPE Autism Care Centre. Built after recognising a gap in support for children with autism and their families, the organisation has grown significantly across Ireland, highlighting both the scale of the need and the impact that can be created when businesses are founded with social purpose.

We also loved hearing from Colette McNicholl of McNicholl Caravans. Her story of resilience, family business, staying true to your values and creating meaningful customer experiences really resonated. It was a great reminder that knowing your 'why' is often what keeps you moving forward through the challenges of running a business.

We were delighted to have a stand in the Marketplace area, giving us the opportunity to share more about Storybox and why we do what we do.

Our mission is simple: to make it easier for people and organisations to shop local, support small businesses and choose thoughtful, meaningful gifts. By bringing together carefully selected products from local makers, social enterprises and socially conscious businesses, we hope to make conscious purchasing more accessible and convenient.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by for a chat. We were genuinely encouraged by the feedback and are looking forward to continuing conversations with the fantastic connections we made throughout the day.

With the Future East conference last week, Women in Business this week and NICVA up next, we're excited to keep learning and keep championing small businesses, social enterprises and the positive impact they create in our communities. ✨
